20 Pounds Down!

FINALLY! I am posting today as I finally am down 20 pounds! Six and a half Weeks later! 15 pounds to go! I really want to be under 140. It's been a lot of years since I weighed that! The diet isn't getting any easier! I am going to Black Hawk with Bob and Lisa tonight and I have to pre plan what I am eating there so I don't get tempted to eat anything else. Crab and salad with no butter or dressing, just lemon......... Oh well, I am finally over half done and I do feel better with myself.

Week #6

I did lose 2 pounds in 2 days with the plateau breaker, but it's not coming off too fast. I told Slim4Life how upset I am and they said I'm right on schedule with them. They average 3 pounds a week and that's what I am averaging! The first few weeks, I did better than 3 pounds, but I will stick in there until my 11 weeks are up just to see. I will be going off the plan December 6th when I go to Vegas with my cousins...........I already told them at the club and they said I can put it on hold for a week. Perfect! I can't wait........
I went to Black Hawk with Karen last night and had crab legs with salad. They don't have diet dressing, so I put lemon juice and my Morton's Lite Salt with garlic on it. I still haven't cheated at all. I'll survive.

Week #5

I am having my 1st Plateau. They gave me a special diet for 2 days with 1 more serving of meat and no starches. Hope it works, because I haven't been so good on a diet for years!
My blood pressure is 112/78, so that's good. Hope I can keep up with this diet.........I am really getting depressed about not losing and sticking with it so good........

Week #4

My blood pressure is 120/70 today. The weight is not going off too good even though I am sticking to this diet 99%. The only thing I am not doing exactly like they say is eating everything! I try to, but it's almost too much somedays. I am really missing my pasta's and Mexican food! Don't even want to go out to dinner anymore. I'm real frustrated with this diet already. I'm feeling like I can't eat anything I really like and I'm not losing as well as I usaully do on strict diets. (course, I don't have the hunger pains and my blood sugar is really good with this one)

Week #3

Was real good eating out with Bob and Lisa, Belinda and kids at Red Lobster. Ate my salad with lemon juice because they didn't have the diet stuff. I had them grill my Maui Maui without anything on it and then I added my Morton's lite salt with garlic powder. I got steamed broccoli and only ate half of it. I really don't like going out to eat on this diet. It's too hard.....

Week #2

It's not coming off as fast as I thought, but I am still not cheating! Went out to dinner to the Olive Garden. I order a children's grilled chicken breast and steamed broccoli. Ate alittle salad, but had them hold the spagetti. I fell deprived, so I really don't want to go out anymore.........It's too hard!

Okay this is getting boring! I will start with weekly journals instead. I have my food journals if anyone is really interested in seeing everything I eat................
I have to stop the carb blockers as of today! They said they are making my stomach upset, so we'll see.
I will be weighing in Mondays, Wednesday's and Fridays from now on.

One Week!

Well, I made it though the first week without cheating even 1 bite........... I have to do this now!
My blood pressure was 124/80, so it's back to normal already, thank goodness! I'm trying to be more creative with my meals as I am getting bored already!
Breakfast--Slice diet bread
morning snack--1/8 of a cantalope
Lunch--chicken breast stir fried (without oil of course) with bean sprouts and tomotoes.
afternoon snack--pecan bar TS
Dinner--grilled salmon , 1 cup salad with 1 tablespoon diet dressing
I'm having trouble eating everything I am suposed to because I have a bad stomach acke.

Day 6

Breakfast--slice of 40 multi grain toast and 1/8 slice of cantalope.
morning snack--orange
Lunch--lean ground turkey patty
afternoon snack--TS pretzels
dinner--stir fry chicken with broccoli, mushrooms, green onions, bean sprouts. (1 cup total)
evening snack--TS- peanut butter crunch bar
***Decided to exercise which isn't required for weight loss with this program, but I don't want to get too saggy! Haven't felt hungry, but still missing my chiclets!

Day 5

Breakfast: TS, Cinnamon Oatmeal (didn't really seem too much like Oatmeal)
morning snack: 10 small strawberries
Lunch: salad with chicken breast
afternoon snack: 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
Dinner: ground lean turkey in 1 corn tortilla with lettuce and tomotoe (no cheese!) I used the Morton's Lite Salt which is all I can use. No Salt! I also used Garlic, chili and Onion powder
evening snack: TS (Pecan Bar)
I drink 1 cup of coffee every morning with alittle skim milk. We are allowed 4 oz of skim milk a day, so I'll use it in my coffee......... Then the 80 oz. of water every day. NO PROBLEM WITH THIS!
Note: So far so good, except my stomach is killing me. I have the worst craps and diaria. Hope this stops soon!

Day 4, first day of the Real Plan

Now for the real diet:
Half hour before each meal you take 1 Herb pill to aid and heal the body during the stress of weight loss, 1 carb blocker to help with starch and sugar cravings as well as block the caloric intake of those foods, AND 3 capsules of Essential Fatty Acids which are a blend of Omega 3, Omega 6 and GLA for proper amount of "good fat" all of which are to increase metabolism and help spur the weight loss. I also have to take a multi vitamin. Now for the food:
Breakfast: Hard boiled egg
morning snack: Thermo snack, Bar-B-Que crunch O's
Lunch: salad with boiled egg
afternoon snack: orange
Dinner: small grilled chicken breast with 1/2 sweet pototoe (Went to Texas Road House with Karen & Steve, no fun eating out now!)
evening snack: Brownier (TS) with handful frozen blueberries
Note:
I was excited to have the (TS) "Slim4Life Themo Snack"(I'll abriviate it from now on) The power bar was actually pretty good.
Wow, it's amazing what money will do for you. I have stayed on this for 4 days now! AMAZING!

Day 3, last day of preparation

Well tomorrow I actually start the whole program. I have stuck with it perfect so far, but what choice do I have after I went in debt to lose weight this time.
Breakfast--2 hard boiled eggs, 1 cup coffee with a tiny bit of Splenda (I don't normally like any sweetners, but I need my skim milk in my coffee and since I haven't been allowed to have that, I adjusted.
Snack-- 1/2 orange followed by the booster drink
Lunch--1/2 of a chicken breast with leftover salad from last night, 1 Tablespoon Fat Free Italian dressing.
snack--another booster drink (these are slim4life metobolizium booster)
Dinner--grilled hamburger patty wrapped in lettuce. (I'm started to like my salad sandwiches)
Evening snack was the other 1/2 of my orange and a real small piece of leftover steak wrapped in lettuce.
I ate my required 1/4 teaspoon Morton's Lite Salt and drank the 80 ounces of water.
My leg is still killing me (it's been bad for about a month or more) , so I really need to do this fast! (before I have a stroke or heart attack!)

Day 2 and Counting

It's finally the end of day 2. I did great, but it's not easy as I am having major stomach problems. Probably from the mixture of new supplements and raw green vegetables. With my IBS any change is hard to digest. But I will do this! I have to go weigh and talk to Slim 4 Life counselers everyday for the first week. I guess that's what the big bucks are for. Today my blood pressure was down to 125/80, so it's already better and it hasn't been a good day with my mother situation. (inside problem) Oh yea, I lost 2 pounds too, but I did gain 4 while being in Las Vegas last week. (I actually gained about 10 this last month)
Breakfast consisted of 2 eggs and steak. I fried them both in about 1 teaspoon butter which I am allowed until Friday.... Mid morning snack was my 1/2 orange, followed by leftover steak from last night wrapped in lettuce for lunch. Lindsey came over and thought it was so funny to have a "salad sandwich". For my afternoon snack, I had a hand full of raw string beans. Dinner I made a salad with green pepper, cucumber, spinach, lettuce, green onion and about 1 tablespoon fat free Italian dressing. I have to drink 80 oz. of water everyday, plus 2 glasses of the Themo Boost which boosts my metabolism. The 1/2 orange is tasting really good for my night time snack. I haven't cheated a bite, but that's why I agreed to pay the big bucks. I'd have to be crazy (er) to pay all the money for nothing, right?

First Day Complete!

Well, I made it though my first day of Slim 4 Life. It hasn't been too easy, but I did it and I'm happy with myself. Got up this morning and ate my 2 hard boiled eggs with Morton's Lite salt. (I added a little Garlic Powder for taste). I had to be at my diet class at 10:00 to learn the diet. Pretty easy to understand. I won't be starving, but you don't get the good things to eat I am accustomed too:) Like Mexican and Italian ect. After my class I went right to King Soopers and got a Roasted Chicken Breast. I really don't like white meat, but the dietitian told me to get used to eating the white meat, because the dark has too much fat! Then I drank the Metabolizer Booster which is supposed to help jump kick me losing weight. Off to Brighton to my dentist for the new crown I received. Stopped by Costco to buy some diet supplies, like Roast Chicken, green veggies, steak ect. Got home from Costco and ate another chicken breast with raw string beans and 1/2 orange. For dinner I made steak and I had a salad with lettuce, celery, cucumber, green onions and a little Fat Free Ranch Dressing. For 3 days I will only be eating meat, baked, broiled, grilled with Morton's Lite Salt and Mrs. Dash (except pork), 1/2 orange twice a day, 2 eggs for breakfast and raw green veggies. (no pea's allowed)
The worst part of today was not chewing my Chiclets! I am totally addicted to them. It's hard to concentrate without them. Bob said to try chewing on plastic toothpicks, so tomorrow I will go buy some.....
Ps. Got measured this morning and mine are 42, 39, 40. For the first time in my life, my blood pressure was high at 130 over 90. Glad I decided to do something about this weight before it kills me. (Belinda is worried about me and glad I am finally doing this!)

The Beginning!


Well this is the last day of this fat person I am starting to hate! I have looked at Older Women who have big bellies and now I am one of them. The more I try and diet the more I gain! So I decided to go the extreme and do a online Journal of my struggles with trying to stay on a diet. After being around my Cousin Bob for the past few days and seeing how positive he is on his diet, I took a major step and went and joined Slim 4 life this morning. (That's how he is succeeding with his weight loss, to which he looks great even though I didn't realize he was as heavy as he was!) It is a big step and price tag to join! To loss the 33 and 1/2 pounds I need to lose, it will cost me about $1600. ($600 for the program and the rest for supplements and snacks) for the 3 months weight loss program, 6 weeks stabilizer program and about 7 months of maintaince. So, to say in mildly, I am sick over not having better Will power to do it on my own!!! I have actually gained over 10 pounds this past month worrying about losing weight, so it is time to do something about it. The good thing is I am not at my all time high weight of 183! (Another month of doing nothing about it, and I would be there!)
